Arsenal Transfer Speculation Grows
Ever since news surfaced that Arsene Wenger would be offered a sizable sum of money in the summer transfer window, a vast number of different players have been linked to the emirates, as well as the potential for some players to be exciting.
The International Business Times talked of interest in a number of players yesterday, most notably Jovetic, and Aubameyang. However Fiorentina has reported placed a £25.3 million pound marker on his head. Although this is a lot of money, it may be the kind of signing Arsenal desperately need to add a new dimension to their attack.
In the current 4-3-3 formation Arsenal play Jovetic would sit perfectly up top, however don’t expect him to stay their, with his style of play he will drift around the back four and behind midfield to give defenders a real problem. He would also link up very nicely with Giroud in a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 formation providing nice link up play with the Frenchman. Wenger could even play a 4-2-3-1 with Jovetic as the leading man.
He also bridges the age gap problem, at 23 he has already been playing first team football for Fiorentina for five years, and a move to the Premier League would be the perfect step for Jovetic. But at £25.3 will Wenger part with the money?
If Jovetic does sign for Arsenal, will Aubameyang sign also, well if Arsenal are wanting to make a serious push for champions league football next season they will need both Jovetic and Aubameyang, luckily for them the transfer fee for Aubameyang will only be around the £8.5 million mark.
Amorebieta, 28 is also another likely target for Wenger and with his contract ending in 2014 this would be the perfect time for Athletic Bilboa to cash in on the central defender.
As things shape up this summer should see a lot of movement for Arsenal in the transfer market, and Arsenal fans will be happy to hear this. However Arsenal and Wenger have been known to promise without delivering in the transfer window.
