Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey admits relief after ending injury hell on loan at Nottingham Forest

Loan star: Aaron Ramsey is regaining match fitness at Nottingham Forest Aaron Ramsey is looking to to regain the first-team spot at Arsenal that was cruelly taken away from him nine months ago. The 19-year-old suffered a broken leg playing against Stoke following a clash with defender Ryan Shawcross in February. Ramsey had made 29 appearances for the Gunners, his best run since a 2008 switch from Cardiff and had established himself as a front-line player. Now fit after the horror break, Ramsey returned for Arsenal reserves before joining Nottingham Forest on loan last week where he played against Leicester on Monday and is set to start against Bristol City tomorrow. And the Wales midfielder is more determined than ever to get back to the Premier League. He said: 'I've been out for a long time and just to be out there and playing again made me realise how much football means to me. 'I've missed a lot of the year, but it was so good to be back in the swing of things. 'Obviously the first two months after the injury were the hardest, I couldn't really move much, although I was encouraged to try to get on my feet. My friends and family helped me get through it. Horror: Ramsey suffered a broken leg in a match at Stoke in February 'I'm here to get back to 100 per cent and hopefully win as many games for Forest as possible. I want to try and get them going in the right direction.' Ramsey added in The Daily Star: 'I felt alright and I'm still a way off playing 90 minutes, but my fitness is coming along nicely. I've been out for nine months and these are what these games are for.'  Aaron Ramsey snubs Ryan Shawcross apology as Arsenal midfielder struggles to come to terms with horror leg breakThe future's Ramsey: Arsenal's Aaron compared to United great ScholesLeicester 1 Forest 0: Handy Andy on target as King wins derby for Foxes Arsenal striker Chamakh targets 20 goals on debut season at the Emirates Ferguson focused on big guns as Arsenal and Chelsea wait for UnitedARSENAL FC
