Arsenal Ready Last Minute Offer For Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly readying a last minute bid for Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, who has agreed terms with Newcastle.

Yanga-Mbiwa, 23, is highly rated in France and can play at centre back and also operate as a holding midfielder.

Arsenal have been scouting Yanga-Mbiwa for nearly a year amidst interest from AC Milan and Barcelona, however with interest from the two clubs seemingly gone, Arsenal are ready to pounce.

Wenger has wanted a versatile defender and Yanga-Mbiwa is also seen as having potential to be first choice in the French national team as centre half.
