Arsenal face tug of war to take 3.5m Brazil teen Wellington from Fluminense

Denilson is ready to welcome Brazilian starlet Wellington Silva to Arsenal - but the forward's club Fluminense are pleading to keep him till 2012. The 17-year-old has just broken into the Rio de Janeiro side's first team and is set for a starring role following the sale of 20-year-old striker Maicon to Lokomotiv Moscow. Wellington has agreed a £3.5million move to the Gunners, but cannot be registered until the January window opens next year, after his 18th birthday. 'We know it will be difficult, but we are working on a way to make it happen, said Fluminense's vice-president of football Alcides Antunes.
