Arsenal striker Eduardo charged by UEFA

UEFA have charged Eduardo ?for deceiving the referee?, after he was awarded a penalty in Arsenal's Champions League tie with Celtic. The Arsenal hitman appeared to con referee Manuel Enrique Mejuto Gonzalez when he threw himself down in the penalty area, with little if any contact from Hoops goalkeeper Artur Boruc. Eduardo stepped up to convert the penalty to all but end the tie, given Arsenal?s 2-0 first leg-lead. Celtic keeper Boruc was visibly fuming at the referee?s decision to point to the spot while Hoops' star Massimo Donati called for UEFA to use video evidence to ban Eduardo. Speaking after the game the Celtic midfielder said: "If it is clear on TV then UEFA must act against Eduardo and ban him. "I think he should get a two-match ban because it wasn't a penalty. I told him that and everyone in the Celtic team told him that."
