Arsene Wenger is said to be interested in Borussia Dortmund's Gabon international forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the Gunners look to build a side capable of challenging for the Premier League title.
Aubameyang is on Arsenal summer shopping list along with Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain and Real Madrid star Karim Benzema, with the Dortmund forward likely being the cheapest option.
The 26-year-old netted an impressive 25 goals in all competitions for Dortmund last season but still sits behind Higuain and Benzema on Wenger wish list – if reports from Club Call are to be believed - with the two aforementioned forwards proving themselves at a higher level than Aubameyang.
The former Saint-Etienne player would still set Arsenal back a cool £28million, but as mentioned earlier that price would likely trump any fee for Higuain and Benzema, adding to Aubameyang's attraction.
The player has a versatility that would see him fit in well at Arsenal, being able to player anywhere in a front three and can also function as an attacking midfielder.
