Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is eyeing a move for French international and Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, according to the Daily Mail. With the player, who is currently with the French national team in Brazil, reportedly placed high on the Gunners summer shopping list.

The striker could be signed for as little as £8 million with QPR boss Harry Redknapp revealing the price of the release clause in the strikers contract.

Remy has made a switch to the Emirates his top priority and is prepared to push through a move to the London rivals if necessary.

Newcastle are also interested in retaining the strikers services after scoring 14 goals in 24 games during his season long loan spell. Although the striker is keen to play in the Champions League giving Arsenal the edge.

As well as brining Remy to Arsenal, Wenger is still keen on signing a new right-back to replace City's new signing Bacary Sagna, as well as a defensive midfielder and a back-up goalkeeper.
