Arsenal will move fast as they attempt to sign Sevilla's Europa League winning midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak as Wenger moves on from Schneiderlin.

It's reported that Wenger isn't keen on paying the £25million fee required to bring Schneiderlin from Saints to Arsenal and according to The Times (subscription required), has turned his attention to Polish international Krychowiak who has a £21million release clause.

The Express claim that Wenger has been monitoring Krychowiak since the player moved to France to join Bordeaux's academy in 2008 and is looking to move quickly to beat Manchester United to the defensive midfielder's signature.

The Red Devils have been monitoring the 25-year-old Europa League winning but aren't in pole position, with Arsenal favourites to land Krychowiak.

The Sevilla player has been previously linked with a move to Arsenal, after claiming on Twitter that he was set to sign for an English team. However it turned out that this was a joke as part of Spain's equivalent to 'April Fool's Day'.
