Reports from Europe suggest Lars Bender could be the subject of a fresh bid from Arsenal as Arsene Wenger appears to be keen to add to his already well stocked midfield and it appears he hasn't giving up on signing the German international.
It is thought Bender could be at the centre of an intriguing transfer saga with Arsenal ready to make a new bid of £21m to bring him to the Emirates.
Last summer the Leverkusen midfielder was linked with a move to the Gunners, but they had a £15m bid rejected.
Leverkusen are not in a position where they need to sell after the profitable sales of Andre Schurrle (Chelsea) and Emre Can (Liverpool) over the past few seasons, but they could be tempted to let Bender go if the right offer comes in for him.
The 25-year-old only signed a new contract with Leverkusen in October of 2013.
