Arsenal plan January raid for Crystal Palace's Zaha

Arsene Wenger is determined to beef up his attacking options in the January transfer window with Crystal Palace's Wilfired Zaha among his top targets.

Zaha is an Arsenal fan which bodes well for the Frenchman and his hopes of securing the 20year old's signature.

Although other Premier League clubs are interested in snapping up the player (who would cost around £18 million), Arsenal’s track record of giving young players regular first-team football would work in their favour.

This would be important to Zaha, whose opportunities at Arsenal would also be enhanced by the possible departure Theo Walcott.

Crystal Palace though are not likely to sell one of their star performers this season as they push for promotion back into the Premier League and have stated that they will not sell unless an exceptional offer comes in.
