Arsenal's ownership looks likely to remain in limbo for the rest of the season, despite US sports mogul Stan Kroenke taking his stake to within 17 shares of the 30 per cent limit, at which he would have to launch a formal takeover. [LNB]Kroenke is not expected to do so until he can be sure the biggest shareholders outside of his current allies on the board will sell to him. [LNB]Kroenke is likely to begin the long game of sounding out either or both of Red and White Holdings, who represent 26 per cent of the shares and are controlled by Alisher Usmanov and Farhad Moshiri, and Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith, ejected from the board last year but still with 15.9 per cent of the shares, to establish at what price they would sell.[LNB] Silent Stan: Kroenke (left) is just 17 Arsenal shares away from being obliged to launch a formal takeover of the Premier League club[LNB] Stan Kroenke closer to takeover bid after snapping up more Arsenal sharesArsenal boss Arsene Wenger wants to scrap throw-insWenger cool on Arsenal power battle as Russian Usmanov raises his stakeARSENAL FC
