Officials from Arsenal are reportedly set to meet with their Palermo counterparts next week in a bid to seal a deal for the signature of highly-rated striker Paulo Dybala.

The north London club, like many other top European clubs, have been scouting Palermo's starlet for a number of months and are now thought to be in a position to make a bid to sign the player dubbed the next Sergio Aguero.

Italian side Juventus are thought to be keen on Dybala but with Arsenal and Palermo set to meet next week, the Gunners have got the jump on the Serie A leaders.

Arsenal are said to be willing and able to meet Palermo's near £30million asking price for Dybala, and can even follow that up with a huge contract offer with substantial weekly wages to lure the striker to the Premier League.

21-year-old Dybala has netted 12 times in 28 appearances for Palermo this season, doubling his return from last season, with all of 2014/15's goals coming in the league.
