Arsene Wenger will look to strengthen his FA Cup winning side this summer by signing Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Sami Khedira.

The 27-year-old midfield tough man is currently at the World Cup in Brazil with the German national team and could be open to a move to the Emirates after being at the Santiago Bernabeu for the past four season. And with Germany team mate Toni Kroos rumoured to have agreed personal terms with the Spanish giants, Khedira's place in the starting XI could be under threat.

Arsenal are believed to be preparing an opening bid of £23 million for the former Stuttgart player, but with Manchester United also interested in the player, this fee could rise with a bidding war between the two English clubs taking place.

Although Wenger believes he has a card up his sleeve in the form of Mesut Ozil, who played with Khedira at Real Madrid and is also an international team mate.
