Arsenal are readying a £15m bid for Chelsea target Mario Mandzukic should they see a deal for Mario Balotelli fall through.
The Balotelli rumours have been floating round since before the world cup and don't seem to be going away but lining a move for the Bayern Munich forward is a wise move on Wenger's behalf.
With AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi being coy about whether Balotelli will be at the San Siro next season, Mandzukic appears to be surplus to requirements at Bayern Munich under the current management of Pep Guardiola.
Reports floating around on social media suggest Wenger was present for the Croatia game against Cameroon where he witnessed an impressive two-goal showing by Mandzukic who also bagged an impressive 26 goals and a further 10 assists last season.
Though Chelsea and Inter Milan have been hot on Mandzukic's heels, it is believed he would prefer a move to the Emirates.
