Arsène Wenger had feared the Belgium defender had fractured his fibula during Wednesday's 0-0 draw at Aston Villa and could be out for over a month but, although more tests are needed, the initial prognosis is positive.[LNB]"There is no fracture in Thomas's leg but his injury still has to be assessed," said Wenger. "There is still a good chance he will not play on Sunday." [LNB]Arsene Wenger rules out Nicklas Bendtner moveVermaelen had felt an overnight improvement in the injury. "It happened when I fell down after a corner and someone landed with his knee on my leg," he said.[LNB]Vermaelen and William Gallas have started every Premier or Champions League match together this season, but either Sol Campbell or Mikaël Silvestre is now likely to deputise. Eduardo is definitely out with what Wenger has called a "small, small, small" hamstring injury, meaning that Nicklas Bendtner could make his first start since October.[LNB]Alex Song and Emmanuel Eboué have both now returned from the Africa Cup of Nations.
