Arsenal fan Piers Morgan and Andrew Flintoff in Tottenham shirt Ashes bet

Piers Morgan is one of the best known – although not best loved – Arsenal fans out there, but you might see him wearing a Tottenham shirt next season.

The former talk show host has been set the potential forfeit on Twitter in a bet with former England all rounder Andrew Flintoff about how the Ashes will go this summer.

It all started with these tweets from Flintoff in defence of under-fire England coach Peter Moores, under whom he played for England and Lancashire.

With that, Morgan – a friend of Kevin Pietersen and a vocal critic of the current England set-up – challenged Flintoff to a bet.

Various forfeits were suggested by the two men’s followers, but in the end it was decided that should England win the Ashes with Alastair Cook and Moores still in situ, Morgan would kiss the turf in the centre circle at White Hart Lane while wearing a Tottenham shirt – with the name of Alan Sugar, one of his many Twitter nemeses, on the back.

Should they lose, Flintoff will have to undertake a similar forfeit.

Morgan is no stranger to stunts like this – after suggesting England’s batsmen lacked heart while facing Australian fast bowlers in the Ashes last time around, he was challenged to face an over from Brett Lee.

He did so – and duly broke a rib.
