Arsene Wenger is tracking Standard Liege defender Eliaquim Mangala following an impressive recent display against Arsenal by the 17-year-old defender. The centre-half opened the scoring when the two teams met in the Champions League on September 16 and was widely acknowledged as the Belgian club's best player during their 3-2 defeat. Mangala has also been watched by Alain Boghossian, assistant to France head coach Raymond Domenech, with a view to a call-up for his country despite his tender years. Meanwhile, Holland Under 17 international Oguzhan Ozyakup has signed professional terms with Arsenal after coming through a two-year scholarship since signing from AZ Alkmaar. The midfielder only turned 17 on Wednesday, but he had already broken into the north London club's Under 18 side last season, scoring four goals in 12 appearances.
