Arsenal have been linked with a £15million move for Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini.

The Italy striker has also attracted interest from Juventus and Napoli after firing Sampdoria to fourth in Serie A with 17 goals in 35 appearances.

Carlo Ancelotti is also an admirer of the 25-year-old and was linked with a move last summer, but the Chelsea boss is now looking at the higher end of the transfer market.

Arsenal have already agreed the signing of Marouane Chamakh from Bordeaux, but reports in Italy say they could still be in the market for another forward.

Pazzini came to the attention of many on these shores when scoring the first hat trick at the new Wembley Stadium during the 3-3 draw between Italy's Under 21s with England's.

The former Fiorentina man is expected to go to the World Cup after breaking into Marcello Lippi's senior Italy team over the last 12 months.
