We all hope he stays.'[LNB]Arsenal, having failed to sign Everton's Phil Jagielka and German international Per Mertesacker from Werder Bremen, are closing in on Montpellier central defender Emir Spahic, the 29-year-old captain of Bosnia.[LNB]Spahic has impressed in the French league since a move from Lokomotiv Moscow last year and signed a new contract in January.
