Arsenal look set to finally land German talent Julian Draxler as Schalke prepare to offload the winger during the current summer transfer window.
Draxler is thought to be highly rated by Arsene Wenger and has been linked with a move to the Emirates for the past two years.
In recent transfer windows Schalke have stood strong and pushed back any advances for the player from the Gunners, believing he'll develop into a top class talent. But after enduring an injury hit 20/14/15 Schalke are now looking to cash in on the 21-year-old, with Xherdan Shaqiri being signed in his place.
Reports suggest that Arsenal have been monitoring the situation at Schalke with Wenger sensing an opportunity to land one of his long term targets.
Playing predominately on the left wing, Draxler is known for his ability to use both feet, his speed, and his ferocious shooting power.
