Peter Hill-Wood admits Arsenal cannot compete with mega-rich Manchester City in thetransfer market but he revealed the club has money to spend in the nextwindow.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been critical in the past that he has had little money to bolster his squad but club chairman Hill-Wood says there is ''plenty' of cash to splash on players this summer.Hill-Wood said: 'We have got more money than we've had for a long, long time and we would like to spend it.
'But we want to spend it sensibly.
'There is plenty of cash, although not in comparison to Manchester City.
'So we have got to look for others. We clearly cannot compete in the transfer market with them.
'I am sure Arsene is always reviewing the situation - he has got a very open mind.'
