Bari have revealed that Arsenal sent scouts to watch Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Ranocchia in action against AC Milan. Bari are currently 11th in the Serie A table but they have impressed defensively, conceding just four goals in seven matches. Young Italian centre-backs Bonucci and Ranocchia have earned rave reviews for their performances and a number of top clubs are understood to be interested. The Gunners checked on the progress of the pair as Bari claimed a creditable goalless draw away to Milan on 27th September. Bari sporting director Giorgio Perinetti confirmed: "For the game against AC Milan, Arsenal had a couple of scouts check on the central-defensive pairing of Bonucci and Ranocchia. "I guess it wasn't a wasted trip for them."
