Arsenal can have Chamakh if they really want him, insists boss Blanc
Bordeaux manager Laurent Blanc has questioned Arsene Wenger's desire to sign striker Marouane Chamakh.
Blanc said: 'Do Arsenal really want Chamakh? I believe no. If they really want him, he could join them within 48 hours.
'I gave him my word last season that if he did well for us I would let him leave. I am keen to respect what I said.'
But Arsenal manager Wenger said: 'The £12m fee asked is too high. The player is under contract, so Bordeaux are making the decision.'
Sunderland say they have pulled out of the chase for the player.
