Arsenal boss Wenger hot on the trail of Vieira academy kid Mbodj

Arsenal are weighing up a £3million January move for Tromso midfielder Kara Mbodj.[LNB] The 20-year-old is a graduate of Patrick Vieira's Diambars Academy in Senegal and has been impressive this season, earning fine reviews from Gunners chief scout Steve Rowley.[LNB] Impressed: Kara Mbodj[LNB] Tromso are aware of Arsenal's interest and Arsene Wenger has been monitoring the 6ft 3in midfielder's progress since he was at the Senegal football school. [LNB]Mbodj, who can also play in defence, has been one of the league's stars during his debut season in Norway and Arsenal scouts plan to continue watching him up until December.[LNB] Arsenal have South African Young Player of the Year Siyanda Xulu, 18, on trial from Mamelodi Sundowns while Zambian defender Emmanuel Mbola, 17, is on a second trial.
