Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger surprised by Emmanuel Adebayor

ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger admits he was ?surprised? by Emmanuel Adebayor?s attitude towards his former club in Manchester City?s 4-2 win at Eastlands. The Togo hitman faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after the FA last night charged him for his antagonistic goal celebration and alleged stamp on Robin van Persie, which left the Dutchman with a cut to his face. Recalling the challenge by Adebayor on Van Persie, Wenger said: "I watched it when I got home and it looked very bad. "I was surprised there was so much animosity in his attitude towards Arsenal. In a few years I think he will realise just how good Arsenal were for him. "I played football and I know exactly, in a fraction of a second, when you know your body well, where you leave your foot in or you pull out. "You know exactly at that fraction, you can injure somebody or you cannot injure somebody and you ease off or you leave your foot in." Wenger was also disappointed with City boss Mark Hughes' reaction, after he appealed for his £25m summer signing to ?be cut a bit of slack?. "You ask 100 people, 99 will say it's very bad and the hundredth will be Mark Hughes," Wenger added. Adebayor has until 6pm this evening to answer to the FA charges. How long do you think Adebayor should be suspend for? Is it time for video evidence to be introduced during the game? Have your say below?
