Arsenal Battle Manchester United For Argentine Ace

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger linked with Argentine ace Lucas Biglia, as he looks to bolster his current squad in an attempt to earn a top four spot this season, in order to yet again qualify for the Champions League.

The Anderlecht holding midfiedler is seen by the Gunners boss as an ideal replacement in midfield for Alex Song, who left the club to join Barcelona last summer.

Arsenal are lacking a hard-hitting midfielder due to the departure of Alex Song. Whilst Mikel Arteta offers calmness and solidity in midfield, the Spaniard does not possess the tenacity or aggression of Lucas Biglia.

Biglia, 26, who gained Champions League experience with the Belgian side this season, is valued at around £8m and has made it clear he wants to quit the club this month, according to reports.

The midfielder has been linked with Manchester United in the past, and is on course for a massive move abroad, as early as this January.
