Arsenal will appeal against Eduardo's two-match Champions League ban for diving after labelling UEFA's disciplinary process 'deeply flawed'.[LNB] The Gunners have three days to compose their appeal but will consider asking for more time so the striker can make a personal plea to clear his name.[LNB] Banned: Eduardo was punished for his dive against Celtic[LNB]Eduardo is on international duty with Croatia, who have important World Cup qualifiers against Belarus tomorrow and England four days later. He will not return to his club until Thursday.[LNB] An Arsenal statement read: 'We strongly believe that the decision taken is deeply flawed and not based on any forensic review of the video evidence available. There are obvious errors and inconsistencies in UEFA's judgment and we intend to appeal.'[LNB] [LNB]Eduardo was found guilty of diving to win a penalty in last week's Champions League playoff second leg against Celtic at the Emirates Stadium, which Arsenal won 5-1 on aggregate. He has been suspended from this month's Group H games away to Standard Liege and at home Olympiakos.[LNB] Arsenal are furious with the decision and plan to submit further video evidence which they believe will prove there was contact between their player and Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc.[LNB] Eduardo received support from Croatia striker Ivica Olic, who said: 'Eduardo is very upset. Normally he is a very happy character but he's not like that at the moment. The punishment is very harsh. Eduardo is a very honest and good professional. He would not try to trick a referee.' [LNB]Eduardo's suspension, the first of its type in the Champions League, has sparked a debate within the game on how simulation should behandled.[LNB] Anger: Arsene Wenger (right) was dismayed at the ban[LNB] Sportsmail launched a campaign to ban the cheats and has urged the FA to follow UEFA's lead. But Arsenal remain defiant and insist the 19-page dossier they submitted to UEFA should have helped persuade them to clear Eduardo. They will use the evidence again in their appeal after claiming that UEFA spent less than an hour considering it and the video footage supplied.[LNB] Manager Arsene Wenger predicts that if the decision is upheld it will cause chaos in the Champions League because of the precedent it would set. But his main argument is that, after suffering a terrible broken leg last year, Eduardo was entitled to take evasive action. [LNB] Now ban the lot!
