Cristian Tello reveals that he will not be leaving Barcelona in January but will rethink his future with the club at the end of the season.
Tello has been linked with Premier League sides Arsenal and Tottenham. While the duo look set to miss out on him in January, they may be able to persuade him to join their team in the summer.
The Barca forward penned a fiver-year deal during the summer but has struggled to be given many opportunities so far this season. He managed to only get 264 minutes of first-team playing time this season.
“I’m young, I want to play and to enjoy. If it is not possible at this club, I will consider an exit at the end of the season. I am thrilled to be where I am, grateful to the club and everyone and now I can only take advantage of any opportunities,” the 22-year old forward said about his future at the club.
However, Liverpool and Tottenham were adamant on luring Tello to the Premier League this winter and his choice to stay at the club till the end of the season will serve as a disappointment.
Liverpool are looking for more options up front other than Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.
While both teams may target the Spanish forward again in the summer window, for now, they will be focusing on their anticipated clash this weekend.
