Andre-Pierre Gignac, the France striker who has received interest from Arsenal and Tottenham, has signed a one-year extension to his contract at Toulouse, tying him to the Ligue 1 club until 2013. Gignac was the top scorer in Ligue 1 last season with 24 goals, and netted his country's winner in their 1-0 victory over the Faroe Islands in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday. Les Violets announced the news this morning in a statement released on their official club website.  'Andre-Pierre Gignac has just extended his contract with Toulouse until 2013,' the statement read.   Lyon tried to sign Gignac this summer, but a number of bids from Les Gones were dismissed by Toulouse.  The statement continued: 'It is a strong sign which indicates the desire of the club to keep its best individuals as well as that of the player to show how attached he is to Les Violets.'
