Andrey Arshavin: Arsene Wenger is right - this can be Arsenal's year

Andrey Arshavin has paid a glowing tribute to Arsene Wenger, saying that the Arsenal boss deserves all the praise he gets. The Frenchman may have turned 60 this week, but Arshavin believes the best years could be still to come for the Emirates Stadium doyen. The doubters question whether Wenger has lost his magic touch after failing to deliver a trophy since 2005's FA Cup. After all, with Arsenal he has won everything in recent history. 'There was a time when they were always winning. Maybe this time will come again. Suddenly this season, something could change. 'I hope this season will be better, but it has just begun. There is no order (from the board) telling us what they expect from us. We all understand well that the task we always face is to win.' The Russia captain believes it is unlikely that Arsenal have enough to win the Champions League this season, but he is excited by the talent of his team-mates and believes they are second only to Barcelona when it comes to sexy football. Wenger has won three League titles and four FA Cups since arriving from Nagoya Grampus Eight in 1996.
