Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia should have recovered from the head injury he suffered against Manchester United in time to face Aston Villa this weekend.
The Spanish shot-stopper had to be replaced by Lukas Fabianski for the closing stages of Saturday's 2-1 victory after clashing with United midfielder Michael Carrick.
"He went to hospital after the game but he is perfectly alright now," Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed to the club's official website.
"He should be able to practice on either Wednesday or Thursday."
Meanwhile, Wenger has once again promised to show his faith in the club's youngsters when the Gunners play Wigan Athletic in the Carling Cup.
The Frenchman added: "You will see 90 per cent of the team who played against Sheffield United in the last round.
"We will keep faith in our philosophy and we will not change it now. That is very important for the club. All the young players need to show how good they are."
