Italian super-agent Vicenzo Morabito has attempted to diffuse a fall-out between Alex Hleb and Arsene Wenger over claims the
Arsenal midfielder held talks with Internazionale.
Morabito, who has brokered several high-profile deals involving the Italian giants, has denied reports that the Belarus international left the team hotel with his own agent before Arsenal's Champions League clash with AC Milan earlier this month to meet Inter officials.
Gunners boss Wenger was said to be furious that Hleb had been sounded out over a potential summer transfer.
However, Morabito claims the player's representative, Claudio Vigorelli, did not take Hleb to meet officials from the San Siro club.
The 27-year-old former Stuttgart midfielder still has two years remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
"It's true that Hleb saw Vigorelli and they went out from the Melia Felix, but it's not true that they went to talk to Inter," Morabito told The Guardian.
"They went for an ice-cream. We are sorry that Mr Wenger took it badly and complained because we have a good relationship with him."
