Agent: Adebayor is staying

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor's Italian agent has rubbished fresh reports of a summer move to AC Milan.

Adebayor, 25, was wanted by the Italian giants last summer before eventually opting to stay with the Gunners and sign a new long-term contract.

Fresh reports this week had suggested the Rossoneri would launch a new bid to sign the Togo international at the end of this season.

But agent Vincenzo Morabito claims there is no truth in the rumours and is confident that Adebayor will be staying at the Emirates Stadium.

"He extended his contract with the Gunners until 2012 last summer and there have been no new contacts with Milan," he revealed.

"Negotiations failed last summer and that was it. He secured a renewal and there is no chance now.

"(Arsenal boss Arsene) Wenger counts heavily on him and I don't think he will put him up for sale.

"As I said, Milan had a possibility last summer, but they went for Ronaldinho in the end."
