Agent: Djourou may leave on loan

The agent of Arsenal defender Johan Djourou admits his client could be sent out on loan by the Gunners in January. Reports over the summer suggested that the Switzerland international would be on his way to pastures new after struggling to hold down a regular role at Emirates Stadium. Djourou eventually saw out the window in North London, but he is yet to figure for Arsenal in the Premier League this season. Speculation has once again surfaced claiming a switch to Italy could be on the cards, with a Napoli side that includes a number of Djourou's international colleagues said to be keen on doing a deal. On the transfer talk, the 25-year-old's agent Flavio Ferraria told Radio Crc: "At the moment there is no negotiation with Napoli. "In football anything is possible, but there has been no contact with them for now. "I agree that Djourou would be a useful addition for Napoli, but only in January when we find out whether Arsenal want to keep him or send him out on loan. "Johan is a professional and so far this season he has played just two games in the League Cup. He wants to play more. "He is fit, but things can go like this sometimes. Maybe in a few weeks Djourou will be a regular for Arsenal."
