Admirer Ancelotti ready to rival Arsenal for £18m Inter wonderkid Balotelli

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is ready to darken Arsene Wenger'smood further by going head to head with the Arsenal manager for InterMilan striker Mario Balotelli.[LNB]The 19-year-old is among the names Wenger is considering buying inJanuary as a replacement for injured striker Robin van Persie, despiteInter's reluctance to sell. 'I like him and he would always be in the first team under me.'[LNB]But the situation is complicated by the fact that Balotelli, whoseparents are originally from Ghana, is wanted by the African nation. [LNB]He would qualify because he has yet to play for Italy at seniorlevel. Inter are keen to sign Chelsea target Sergio Aguero, somethingwhich could prove easier now Roman Abramovich has shifted his focusfrom the Atletico Madrid forward to Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery.[LNB]Aguero's arrival at the San Siro would push Balotelli further downthe pecking order and Jose Mourinho has been fiercely critical of hisstriker's displays.[LNB]But Inter president Massimo Moratti has refused to entertain offersdespite claims in Italy that Arsenal are ready to pay £18million.[LNB]Discussing Balotelli in the summer, Wenger said: 'He can be one of the best.'[LNB]Wenger has suffered another injury blow, with Theo Walcott ruled outfor tomorrow's visit of Stoke with a hamstring strain.
