Adebayor hit with further ban

Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been found guilty of reacting aggressively and failing to leave the field of play during the Carling Cup final and has been given an additional one-match suspension and fined £7,500.
Adebayor denied the charge relating to his red card at the Millennium Stadium against Chelsea last month and requested a personal hearing at the Football Association's Soho Square headquarters.
The Togo international was handed an automatic three-man ban after being dismissed by referee Howard Webb and has already sat out the Gunners' last two domestic matches.
The further one-match ban means the former Monaco and Metz striker will now miss Arsenal's forthcoming Premiership matches against Aston Villa and Everton, but will be available for selection for the March 31 trip to Liverpool.
"In sentencing, the (disciplinary) commission stated that it had taken into account Adebayor's playing record and the mitigation offered," read an FA statement.
"Adebayor is currently serving a three-match suspension following his sending off during the match. This additional suspension will come into effect after those three games have been completed."
Meanwhile, the FA has confirmed that Arsenal have admitted a charge of failing to control their players and/or officials during the Carling Cup final and, like Chelsea before them, have requested a personal hearing.
Additionally, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has issued a response to the FA after he was asked to explain his comments following severe criticism of an assistant-referee in the same controversial match.
