Aaron Ramsey’s incredible recent form, and I am not talking just this season, has brought a serious dilemma to Arsene Wenger.
The Arsenal manager is reported as being in the market for a new creative midfielder but many Arsenal fans, while wanting to see some money being spent, will acknowledge the fact that Aaron Ramsey has finally found the form pre-Stoke that many thought he would never recapture.
Since recovering from his horrific injury Aaron Ramsey has been seen by fans as a versatile squad player. Actually the facts show that last year only Santi Cazorla played more games than him as Aaron played an impressive 47 games in the 2012-2013 season. Goals have never been his forte but that looks like it is about to change. He grabbed a goal in Arsenal’s final match of last season to help ensure Arsenal beat their North London rivals to that coveted fourth spot and since then he has been on target three times, albeit all goals have come against Fenerbahçe.
The big question now is, will Arsene respect the form that the young Welshman is showing and allow him to keep the position he is enjoying so much now? Jack Wilshere now has direct competition in this position and this can only be very healthy for Arsenal. Indeed, I would go as far to say that Aaron’s form has surpassed that of anything Jack has done and that he now deserves a decent run in the team in that offensive creative midfield position.
Ramsey will not only save Wenger and Arsenal millions, but if his form continues he will be worth a pretty packet too, should the football vultures in Spain come hovering over the Premiership again.
