    Tevez eyes Germany battle

    29 Jun 2006 - 07:30:27

Argentina striker Carlos Tevez is excited by the prospect of facing hosts Germany in the World Cup quarter-finals, even though he is likely to start from the bench.

Tevez has had to play second fiddle to Javier Saviola and Hernan Crespo so far in Germany, but will play some part in the clash in Berlin and is looking forward to a titanic tussle.

He said: "We'll have to play with guts.

"I don't fear them, but they will want to roll us over. They are hosts and they will have to show what they have got.

"They will pressure us and try not to let us play, because they know if they do let us play we can make it difficult for them."

Meanwhile, Tevez says he is not concerned at being left on the bench, adding: "In the last Copa America I didn't start the competition playing, but in the last two or three games I played and played very well.

"I don't give up. If I play, I'll do it in the best way because I don't know if I'll play another World Cup.

"I enjoy each day, each moment and that makes this my best World Cup, because I don't know if I'll play another one."
