Saviola ready for hosts

Argentina striker Javier Saviola does not believe that home advantage counts for anything at the World Cup finals.

The Albicelestes face hosts Germany in a quarter-final in Berlin on Friday, but Saviola insists none of his team-mates will be fazed by the hostile atmosphere.

"The stadium will be full of Germans, but most of the players here have played for big clubs and are used to this kind of atmosphere," he said.

"I don't think anybody will be surprised.

"We will think of all the people who will be watching the game in Argentina and who want Argentina to win.

"I think we have a 60 per cent chance. I'll give slightly more to us than to Germany.

"If we can impose our style of play, it will be very difficult for them to beat us."

Saviola is also confident that those Argentina supporters who manage to get a ticket for the Olympiastadion will be treated to a display of high-tempo attacking football.

"It is difficult to predict because, looking at the quality of both teams' players and the level of the teams, both will go forward at every opportunity," he said.

"It'll be an electric, fast match and whoever scores the first goal will have a great chance of winning the game.

"We cannot give the ball away because Germany manage it very well and it would not benefit us if they attack us.

"We have to keep possession and look for spaces, for holes. The team who have the ball the most and know how to distribute it will have the better of the game."
