Turning our cup record around

Outing for some squad players?

Since Paul Sheerin and Stewart Petrie's arrival, our league form and achievements have been nothing short of magnificent.   But they haven't yet worked their magic on the knockout form of the game.http://www.arbroathherald.co.uk/sport/sheerin_wants_first_cup_win_as_the_lichties_face_keith_1_1971077

During their tenure, we've yet to win a cuptie. Admittedly there have been some tough draws to contend with (2 away to Dunfermline, i away to Livi, a home to Dundee).

You have to go back 2 and half years for our last win in any comp - a 0-3 win at Balmoor against Peterhead in the League Cup

Come to think of it, we've not done much in the cup for decades, even in the diddy cups.

This Saturday time to enjoy the break from the regular grind and grind out a cup result and start turning this poor record around,  Financially we could do with a decent cup run

But let's not get ahead of ourselves - we recall the recent Irvine Meadow fiasco so let's not be on the list of cup upsets come Monday
