Arbroath have appointed Paul Sheerin as player-manager on a one-year contract.
The 35-year-old midfielder, who was released by St Johnstone at the end of the season, replaces Jim Weir following the latter's departure for Brechin City.
Sheerin joined St Johnstone six years ago but only made 14 appearances for the Perth club in their first Clydesdale Bank Premier League campaign for seven years.
His former clubs include Aberdeen, Inverness, Alloa and Ayr United.
