Forfar fight back for draw

A late Joe Shaughnessy header rescued a point for 10-man Forfar in a 1-1 draw with high-flying Arbroath at Station Park.

The visitors opened the scoring on 12 minutes when Lee Sibanda swept home right-footed from a Josh Falkingham pass.

The home side's task was made more difficult 15 minutes before half-time when defender Michael Bolocheweckyj was dismissed for a second bookable offence.

Jordon Brown came close to levelling the contest five minutes after the restart but fired wide from 25 yards.

Arbroath `keeper Darren Hill then saved from Nicky Low on 75 minutes.

But the hosts were not to be denied and snatched a point with eight minutes remaining as Shaughnessy connected with Low's inswinging corner to head past Hill.
