Tightening up away from home

Paul Sheerin's comments after the game against Stenhousemuir hints at an evolving approach to away games. It could be that the 6-0 mauling at Palmerston less than a month ago has created this need

From the Arbroath Herald:  To combat the conditions at Ochilview Park the player-manager changed his tactics and was pleased with the result.

He said: “We did really well actually. We were a bit more disciplined and we changed our shape with just one up front.

“I’ve had my fingers burnt before with big pitches. I thought we were decent but the only problem was with only one up front we took away some of our attacking powers.

“It was also basically to see how we could look away from home in that formation.”
