Arbroath youngster Connor Birse faces a second lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a further knee injury just as he was preapring to make a first team comeback.
The 18-year old was closing in on a return to the Gayfield lineup after more than 7 months out, after playing in several bounce games.
However he broke down in training last week and manager Sheerin fears another lengthy time out.
"It's a real shame for the kid as he had worked so hard to get to this stage"
