Ryan McCord expected to return to Arbroath starting line-up against Stirling

Arbroath welcome Ryan McCord back into their ranks after a ban and the midfielder could start against visitors Stirling Albion as Martin Scott is struggling with a knock.

Manager Dick Campbell is looking for his men to keep their progression going.

He said: "We played well at Elgin last weekend and deserved our 1-0 win. That was our best performance of the season and built on our performance against East Fife in the midweek beforehand.

"Things are starting to knit together well and I am looking forward to seeing further evidence of that against a Stirling side that will be keen to gain momentum after beating Montrose last Saturday."

Stirling have signed striker Isaac Layne on loan from Alloa and he looks set to be involved at Gayfield with free-of-suspension defender Ross Smith also available.

Darren Petrie remains out with a knee injury with manager Stuart McLaren saying: "I have been pleased with how we have done going forward so far this season but when the chance came up to bring in Isaac I had to take it.

"This will be a game between two sides looking to build on wins last weekend and looking to build momentum for pushing up the table. Having Isaac on board could help us come out on top."
