Sheerin waits on Doris

Arbroath manager Paul Sheerin is unsure whether on-loan Dundee striker Steven Doris will feature due to a stomach injury when they welcome Stenhousemuir to Gayfield.

Connor Birse is ruled out with a knee problem and the Red Lichties have released midfielder Darren Smith with Sheerin looking for his men to bounce back from last Saturday's 1-0 defeat from local rivals Brechin.

Sheerin, whose side have sunk into the relegation dogfight after a winless run of 11 games, said: "Our last game was very frustrating as we had loads of territory but never created anything in the danger zone.

"Hopefully Steven will be fit and we can pose more of a goal threat."

Stenhousemuir miss skipper Ross McMillan following his sending-off against Forfar last week and he joins the already-banned John Gemmell and the injured Ross Brash (foot) on the sidelines.

Ochilview manager Martyn Corrigan has told his players that they have to start the game well as he explained: "Last week against Forfar we were two goals down and had Martyn sent off with a quarter of the game played.

"It was all down to our sluggish start and we need to be much quicker out of the traps against Arbroath.

"They will be scrapping and we need to ensure we do not let them get on top."
