Little blow for Arbroath

Bottom of the table Arbroath welcome champions Rangers to Gayfield with Ricky Little absent through suspension.

David Banjo and Kenny Deuchar are injury doubts with Connor Birse still out following knee surgery.

Player-manager Paul Sheerin said: "We played well in our two games at Ibrox but the last meeting here was over before it begun.

"Our first objective is to make sure that we put on a strong performance and make Rangers work hard for anything they get in this game.

"It would be fantastic to be the first team to beat them as that would give us a huge lift for the rest of the season."

Ian Black will miss Rangers' trip to Arbroath on Saturday - but midfield colleague Nicky Law could feature.

The former Motherwell man suffered a back injury against Brechin last week and will be given a fitness test, but Black faces a race against time to be fit for the Ramsdens Cup final a week on Sunday after injuring his foot against the Hedgemen.

Forwards David Templeton (groin) and Andy Little (thigh) are also both out while midfield youngster Lewis Macleod is hoping medics will be able to get to the bottom of his viral issue soon.
