Lowdon set for Smokies debut

League leaders Arbroath have received international clearance for new signing Jordon Lowdon and he goes straight into manager Allan Moore's squad to face neighbours Montrose.

Ricky Little is available after a knee injury however Jonny Lindsay remains out with a groin problem.

Manager Allan Moore said: "This is my first derby game with Arbroath and I am looking forward to it. Both teams have won all their games so far so there is plenty to play for."

"Three wins out of three sounds good however four wins out of four and still being top of the league sounds even better."

Montrose miss Jonny Crawford following recent knee surgery with Alan Campbell, Scott Johnston and Danny Cavanagh all struggling with knocks as well.

Better news for manager George Shields is the return from suspension of Ross McCord with the Links Park boss looking forward to the Gayfield challenge.

Shields said: "Both sides have perfect records so something will have to give in this game. We have done well at home this season and it would be great to mark our first away game with our first win especially as it is at the home of our local rivals.

"They are a good side but hopefully we can end their run."
