Craig Johnstone out for Arbroath

Arbroath are without former East Fife favourite Craig Johnstone due to a knee injury when the table-topping Fifers pitch up at Gayfield.

Mark Williams misses out after suffering a cut head in the 2-1 win at Clyde last weekend that has taken the Red Lichties to the brink of safety.

Manager Dick Campbell said: "East Fife will be in for a game here, I'm sure of that. When I came in as the manager last month I wanted to secure our place in League Two and build momentum for next season.

"Winning this game against the league leaders would help us achieve both."

East Fife could start top scorer Nathan Austin after he overcame a knock that has restricted his game time in the past month.

Player-manager Gary Naysmith said: "Nathan has been used as a substitute in a couple of recent games and made an impact but he is ready to go from the first whistle this time.

"You cannot ignore the talents of a striker that has scored 23 goals for you this season.

"This game is a huge one for us as not only do we know that we stay at the top if we win, but it has a local derby feel to it."
