Sheerin has full squad

Arbroath manager Paul Sheerin has a full squad to choose from for the visit of Brechin after an illness bug that saw half of the Gayfield squad miss training earlier this week passed without any further problems.

Sheerin is looking for his men to climb above their Angus neighbours and into third place by using home advantage.

He said: "We have been strong at Gayfield this season and it is only full-time sides that have managed to beat us there. I want that to continue.

"Ray McKinnon has done a terrific job since he went to Brechin a few months ago and they tormented us with their attacking play in the last meeting. Hopefully it will be the other way around this time."M

Long-term knee injury victim Craig Molloy is Brechin's only absentee as they look to get their season going after a five-week break.

Manager McKinnon is looking at things positively, saying: "I do not expect any rustiness, in fact I expect the opposite. Our boys are refreshed and I expect to see them go and play with a spring in their step.

"I watched Arbroath last weekend and they played well against Albion Rovers but the game gave me a good idea of what we need to do to win.

"This is my first trip to Gayfield as a manager and I am looking forward to it, especially if we can repeat the 3-2 win we had over them on Boxing Day."
